When you visit Meadowood you hear the same sentiment over and over…everyone is so warm and friendly. We’re like one big family! We agree and not only do many people that live and work here feel like family, a lot of our staff are family!
One of our more notable groups of siblings are the Griffin quintuplets. They all work in dining services and will be graduating from high school this year. They live locally, in Harleysville, and will be graduating from Souderton High School this spring. One of their supervisors described the five as the kindest, most respectful, hard-working teenagers she’s encountered.
We asked them a few questions about their experience working together and their future plans:
Q: Did you all start working at Meadowood at the same time?
A: No, the boys started as dishwashers first, then when the girls wanted a job they all applied as servers.
Q: How did you hear of Meadowood?
A: Our mother knew about Meadowood and told us!
Q: We hear you are all graduating, what are your plans after high school?
A: We are all going to Montgomery County Community College and will transfer to other colleges after two years. Although they’ll begin with undeclared majors, they did share their long-term objectives:
Austin – Film
Dillon – Environmental Science
Evan – Criminal Justice
Lindsay – Film/Screenwriting
Miranda – Theater/Film
Q: How have you enjoyed working at Meadowood?
A: Meadowood has taught us a lot of skills like communication, hard work and these skills have made us better people.
Q: Do you all usually work together?
A: Not often, but when we do the car is cramped!
Q: Do you have other siblings?
A: No, but we have wondered what it would be like to have more! Although five is really enough!
We wish them the best of luck in all of their future endeavors!
